A college town is a livelier town
WKU keeps the calendar full.
Western Kentucky University anchors downtown with a roughly 200-acre main campus and more than 14,000 undergraduates. That means concerts, sports, lectures and a steady stream of new restaurants and coffee shops that keep the city feeling younger than its size.
For residents, the college presence also means the city keeps investing in the things students and the community need: walkable downtown blocks, public events and a job market that hires teachers, staff and professionals year round.
