Living Local · by the Living in Kentucky Team

Living in Kentucky isn't just about finding a house. It's about finding your people, your places, and the little things that make somewhere feel like home.

Living Local is Melissa Albert and the Living in Kentucky Team's locally curated editorial guide to actually living in Bowling Green and Warren County. Local events, favorite places, neighborhood stories, seasonal guides and community happenings, useful to people who already live here as much as people considering the move. Think of it as the local section of your favorite magazine, written by the people who film this town.

Neighborhood Life

What does living here actually feel like?

The relocation community pages answer "should I live here?" with facts, costs and trade-offs. Neighborhood Life answers a different question: what does living there actually feel like on a Tuesday, on a Saturday, in the fall. Lifestyle, community and rhythm, kept separate from listings and MLS data.

How is Neighborhood Life different from the community pages?

The community pages help you decide: schools, prices, commutes and who each area tends to fit. Neighborhood Life assumes you have decided, and covers the daily texture instead: the farmers market rhythm, the contest season, the porches and the people. One answers "should I live here?", the other "what is it like when you do?"

The market, monthly

What's happening in the Bowling Green housing market

Local life and the local market run together, so Living Local keeps a small monthly market beat: one verified stat, a short read on what it means, and clear paths to the full buying and selling guides when you are ready. No national filler, no hard sell.

This month's number

$302,495

Warren County median sold price, Paragon MLS market statistics, August 2026.

A median that sits well below the national picture keeps Bowling Green on the radar for both buyers and sellers, and it is why the market stays busy.

One brand, the whole journey

A person may first find Living in Kentucky while researching a move, keep it for the years they live here, and call on it again when it is time to sell, buy again or send a friend. Living Local is the part of that journey for the years in between.
