File the USPS change of address, transfer prescriptions and book movers.
Enroll kids in their new school: the two districts have online new-student registration.
Update vehicle registration and license plans through the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet.
Move-in week

Know the weather
Mostly warm, honestly humid.
Bowling Green has a humid subtropical climate: hot, humid summers, mild winters and rain spread evenly through the year. Expect warm-weather clothes to carry most of the load, a solid rain jacket, and one honest winter coat.
The one thing to plan around is severe weather. Thunderstorms are common in summer, and spring has tornado watches worth taking seriously. A weather radio and a storm-shelter plan are standard equipment for Kentucky newcomers.

The fastest way to feel like a local is to go do local things. This is the part of the move that turns an address into a home.
