The house and the club are separate purchases
Buying a home or lot in Olde Stone does not automatically grant club membership. It changes who owns the property; membership is a separate step with its own money attached.

Olde Stone · Private gated golf community
Olde Stone is a different category of housing in the Bowling Green market, and it helps to know that before you start comparing floor plans. It is a private, gated golf community on the east side of town, where an 18-hole championship course sits inside the same gates as the homes, the houses run from newer custom builds to large estate-style homes, and the lifestyle is the point, not the afterthought. If you are relocating to Bowling Green from out of state and want the straight version of what Olde Stone real estate is, what it costs and how the membership works, this guide is for you.

A video tells you more than a listing photo ever will.
I am Melissa Albert, a Bowling Green-area Realtor and relocation specialist who covers the whole metro, and for a buyer coming from another state I point at video before photos. A tour shows you the gates, the streets and the green in a way listings cannot, and it gives you a feel for whether the community's pace matches your life.
This Olde Stone tour lives on the Living in Kentucky Team channel, where we film real neighborhoods across South Central Kentucky. That is exactly what a Bowling Green KY relocation Realtor is for: helping you compare the lifestyle before the contract.
The community
The facts first, then what they mean for your move.
Olde Stone is a private, gated golf community at 950 Village Way in Bowling Green, KY 42103, on the east side of the metro along the Scottsville Road corridor. The property opened in 2006, and its centerpiece is an 18-hole championship golf course designed by Arthur Hills that plays 7,333 yards, with a 9-hole short course alongside it. Golfweek has ranked Olde Stone among the Top 3 Private Courses in Kentucky, and the club has hosted national events including the PGA Junior Ryder Cup and the USGA Girls Junior Championship.
The residential side is three neighborhoods inside the gates, each with a distinct character: fairway-overlook homes, farmhouse-style retreats, and family-style streetscapes. The property also includes The Lodge at Olde Stone, a 12-suite resort lodge, plus dining and tennis.
That last part matters. In a typical Bowling Green subdivision, a golf course, if there is one, is a separate amenity you drive to. Olde Stone is a gated country-club community: the course, the club, the lodge and the homes share the same private property, and that is what makes it a different proposition for relocating buyers comparing golf communities in the Bowling Green Kentucky market.
Olde Stone fact sheet
Olde Stone homes for sale
Ranges, not promises, dated to early October 2026.
Start with ranges, because no single number describes this market. An Olde Stone home can be a newer 3-bedroom on a homesite or a 7,000-square-foot estate on a fairway lot, and the price moves accordingly. As of early October 2026, a Zillow search of the 42103 Olde Stone Golf Course area listed about 12 homes, starting around $499,900, and the larger estate-style homes in and around the community run above $1.3M.
The typical home profile is 3 to 5-plus bedrooms and roughly 2,500 to 7,000-plus square feet, and you will find both existing homes and homes built to a buyer's own plan. Lots span ready homesites to fairway and estate lots, which is a big part of why the range is what it is.
| What you are buying | Current reality |
|---|---|
| Olde Stone area listings (Zillow, 42103 Olde Stone Golf Course search, early Oct 2026) | About 12 homes listed, starting around $499,900 |
| Larger estate-style homes | Above $1.3M |
| Typical homes | 3-5+ bedrooms, roughly 2,500-7,000+ sq ft |
| Home types | Existing homes, plus custom builds to a buyer’s own plan |
| Lots | Ready homesites, fairway lots and estate lots |
| Club membership | A separate cost, explained below |
These are dated, sourced figures from a public listings search. For the current read on a specific home or homesite, the MLS through a licensed local agent is the fresher number, and we can pull that for you when you are ready.

The club question
Verified October 2026 from the club's own site.
The most common misunderstanding about Olde Stone is that buying the house buys you the club. It does not. The country club at Olde Stone in Bowling Green, KY, officially the Club at Olde Stone at 950 Village Way, is explicit about this on its own site: ownership and membership are separate decisions with separate money attached. Here is what the club's site, at olde-stone.com/join and olde-stone.com/lore, actually says:
Buying a home or lot in Olde Stone does not automatically grant club membership. It changes who owns the property; membership is a separate step with its own money attached.
Residential Golf membership carries a reduced initiation fee compared with the club’s Invitational Golf membership, and it is the path the club describes for owners.
Invitational Golf membership is available to people living within 75 miles of the club, with the higher initiation fee.
Both golf memberships grant full club privileges to family members up to age 24, which is a real consideration for households with college-age kids.
A Social Membership status gives residents a way to belong to the club without the golf component.
The homeowners association and the club are separate financial commitments. Budget for both, and ask for each in writing before you buy.
I am deliberately not quoting dues or initiation figures here, because the club updates them and a number in a guide goes stale the week it publishes. The Join page on the club's site is the current source, and I will verify what they list against the exact lot or home you are looking at when we talk.
Where it sits
Olde Stone sits at 950 Village Way in Bowling Green, KY 42103, on the east side of the Bowling Green area along the Scottsville Road corridor, close to where the countryside starts around Drakes Ridge. It is gated, and the life inside is its own world; the practical news for a relocating buyer is that everything you need for a normal week is a short drive from the gates.
The honest fit
Honest fits, and the buyers I would steer elsewhere.
You will likely fit Olde Stone if you are
Relocating for the lifestyle first: golf, membership, privacy and space, with the house as the vehicle for the life rather than the goal itself.
Comparing the best neighborhoods for luxury homes in Bowling Green KY and want the gated, full-club option on the list.
Looking for custom architecture: a house built to your plan with your finishes, not a catalog model with an identical twin two streets over.
Wanting the east side's schools and commute with countryside right outside the gates.
It is probably not your fit if
You need the monthly outlay minimal: the house price is only part of the picture, and HOA plus club membership are real and separate numbers.
You want a fast resale pool: Olde Stone is a specific product, and the buyer pool is thinner than a mainstream subdivision.
You dislike gates and rules: a planned golf community comes with restrictions, by design, and working with them is part of the lifestyle.
Your budget is a standard $300K to $400K starter range: that is genuinely not this market.
Moving to Olde Stone usually starts with a comparison, and that is healthy. The two neighborhoods buyers mention in the same breath are Drakes Ridge and The Summit, and you can browse every current luxury home for sale in Bowling Green KY right from the lifestyle search.
Side by side
Compared on the criteria that actually decide the choice.
When relocating buyers shortlist the higher-end neighborhoods around Bowling Green, the three names that usually come up are Olde Stone, Drakes Ridge and The Summit. They are different products, and which one fits depends on how you weight golf, privacy, new construction and land. None of these is better; they suit different lives.

Before you buy
The homework that makes the purchase easy.
Anything worth this price tag deserves homework, and relocating to Bowling Green Kentucky from another state means doing it from a distance. Before you write an offer, work through this list, and ask me anything that feels unclear: I have walked these exact steps with out-of-state buyers.
1. Membership and HOA
Confirm the current Residential Golf membership figures and the HOA structure in writing for the exact lot or home. House, HOA and club are three separate money conversations.
2. School assignment
Warren County assigns schools by address, so run the specific house through the district’s official find-your-school map. The boundary on one side of a street can differ from the other.
3. Flood information
Check the official flood mapping for the address. A community with water features deserves the mapping, not the brochure.
4. Utilities
Confirm the electric, internet, water and sewer or waste providers for the exact address directly with the providers, including any rural-service notes.
5. Commute at real times
Drive your route at the time you will actually drive it. A Saturday checkout and an 8 a.m. school run are different trips.
That list is not red tape, it is how you buy with the confidence the price tag deserves. Bring me the answers and I will bring you the context: what each one means for the specific home, the offer and the move.
